My name is Fiona, and I'm a recruitment and business development consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment consultancy specializing in the recruitment of finance professionals. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent on Montreal's South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. I'm looking for a Financial Controller for a manufacturing company located in Boucherville.
Mission
Your expertise ....
1. Seat on the management committee
a. Actively participates in the development of corporate strategies and business plans, and analyzes investment and financing projects.
b. Presents monthly, quarterly and annual financial results, analyzes variances from budget and provides comments.
c. Develops, communicates and comments on performance indicators.
2. Supervises all financial accounting activities
a. Prepares and analyzes monthly financial statements, as well as various financial reports.
b. Carries out cash management.
c. Handles invoicing, accounts receivable, customer credit files and collection activities.
d. Manages accounts payable, registers invoices and issues payments.
e. Processes payroll with the assistance of the Human Resources Department.
f. Rigorously analyzes balance sheet and income statement items, including inventory data.
g. Is responsible for the annual budget process.
h. Monitors and applies policies, procedures and internal controls.
i. Coordinates all funding and grant projects with funding partners.
j. Prepares year-end audit file and tax returns.
k. Ensures company compliance with tax laws.
l. Reviews accounting and operational processes and makes recommendations.
m. Collaborates with other departments in various administrative or financial aspects, and with the Human Resources Department.
n. Interacts with shareholders.
3. Supervises all management accounting activities
a. Supports manufacturing operations through cost analysis.
b. Produces, communicates and comments on various management reports.
c. Implements material cost reduction strategies and meets with suppliers.
d. Exercises budgetary control and applies policies, procedures and internal controls.
e. Supports the Quality Assurance Department by coordinating supplier claims related to non-conformances.
f. Measures and communicates various performance indicators related to manufacturing operations.
4. Performs any other task required by his/her duties or at the request of his/her superior.
5. Ensures compliance with company safety rules.
6. Keeps workstation clean and tidy.
Your profile
Your qualifications....
-Bachelor's degree in administration or accounting and member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec (an asset)
-Minimum 7 years' relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years' experience in a management position
-Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of the Power Platform suite
-Experience with integrated systems (ERP)
-Fluency in spoken and written French
▪Mastery of English, spoken and written Take our that knowledge of English is required due to the fact that the chosen person will be required to communicate outside Quebec.
