Mission

Hello, I am Melissa, Recruitment and Business Development Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.

I am currently searching, on behalf of my client, a company located in Ville St-Laurent for an accounting clerk. This is a permanent position, with 3 days remote work.

Main tasks & responsibilities
• Posting the payroll journal entries (bi-weekly)
• Posting the payroll unit hour journal entries (bi-weekly)
• Posting of the daily sales batches
• Remittance of monthly, quarterly and yearly sales taxes to government authorities
• Completion of the monthly bank reconciliations
• Creating of CAPEX additions in Great Plains (GP) monthly
• Completion of the monthly, quarterly and annual Statistics Canada surveys
• Opening mail – weekly
• Depositing cheques
• Initiate banking transactions & recording of the associated journal entry -
• Adhoc (assistance with government audits, requests from the accounting team, etc.)

Your profile

Qualifications
• Possess a post-secondary accounting education (CEGEP or University)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
• Knowledge of ERP system Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains an asset
• Proficient in excel
• Bilingual (English and French) required.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in accounting.
